VOIP – What is it?

VOIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol i.e. it means that your phone calls use an internet connection (broadband or leased line) to be routed to their destination.

You keeping using the term PBX – what does it mean?

PBX stands for Private Branch Exchange, which is a private telephone network used within a company. Traditional PBXs usually have their own proprietary phones, such that there would be no way to re-use the phones with different systems. This means that you were locked-in so that changing phone systems became prohibitively expensive (but not any more!).

Why aren’t all Voice Over IP phone calls free?

Some, such as Skype calls, are but if you need to access the public telephone system, there is a charge for this. This charge also applies when someone tries to call you. We offer inclusive packages so that you won’t have worry about additional costs.

Which is better – a cloud PBX solution or on premises?

This depends on your particular business circumstances – are all your staff in one building or are they geographically spread out? Other factors to be considered include internet connection speed……
